February Snowstorm

We got a snowstorm in mid February. David wanted to go play in the snow so we dressed him all up and let him play. He had a great time making snowballs.
Our house covered in snow.

David slipped on the ice. He was fine and even ended up laying down on the ice playing.
More snowballs.
David got out his dump truck and filled it with snow. Then we made snowballs and filled the back with snow balls.
We built a snow bear.

Christmas in Florida in February

We headed to Florida at the end of January / beginning of February to celebrate Christmas down there (in the warmth) with David's Grandma, Grandpa, GiGi, Aunt Dawn, Uncle Zac, and cousin Parker. We had a very busy week, but had a lot of fun. David and Parker both loved the piano.
David got a new book for Christmas from Aunt Dawn and had to have it read to him several times.
We spent a day at Disney.
David got to meet Mickey & Minnie Mouse, but he seemed kind of scared of them.
David loved the barn stormer roller coaster ride.
He also enjoyed the playground, but I think he enjoyed the benches more.

He liked the people mover ride at the Magic Kingdom.
And the monorail. It was a rainy day, but the lines were short for the most part. We walked right onto Pirates of the Caribbean. David also liked both Toy Story rides.
David wearing his 3D glasses.
David meeting Lightning McQueen and Mater again. Again we was scared by the loud revving engines.
David driving the train at the park near mom and dad's house.

We spent a day at the Florida State Fair. Here is David in a helicopter.
David loved the model train exhibit. He even ran away from us to go back in after we had left.
David petting an animal. (I can't remember what type of animal this was and can't quite tell from the picture.)
Then David spotted the tractors. He loves tires and anything with wheels, but he was really impressed by the size of these wheels.
David and Parker sitting in the front loader.

David squeezing his own orange juice. He picked out the orange, squeezed it and drank the juice all by himself (with a little help from dad.)

Eating home made butter.

New Years 2010 in Blowing Rock

We headed to Blowing Rock for New Year's weekend to celebrate Christmas with David's Granna, Opa, Aunt Tori, Aunt Lauren, Uncle Sid and his cousins Kati Mac, Madi, and Jake.

David got James the train for Christmas. This is all he had really asked for.

David enjoyed playing in the snow with Kati Mac and Madi.

After a long day of playing hard (and no nap) David crashed and slept great!

Christmas in SC 2009

We headed to SC the weekend after Christmas to celebrate with Lanny's mom's side of the family. David really enjoyed playing with his cousins.

Christmas 2009

We celebrated Christmas morning at our house for the first time since we have been married. It was really nice to wake up at our house and let David open his presents on Christmas Day. David is definitely an only child and I found some really great deals on toys on craigslist so David had a really big Christmas this year. It was so fun to watch the look on his face when he opened his gifts. David got to open one gift on Christmas Eve. This is the one he chose.

Christmas morning we ate Monkey Bread.

David made the Home Alone face.

David said he wanted Bessie (from Cars) for Christmas and I happened to find it on craigslist. I had not seen it at any stores so this was pure chance.

David has been really interested in airplanes ever since we went to the airshow a couple months back.

Thomas, Annie, Claribel and the roundhouse.

David got a workbench with tons of tools. It also flips over so he can take an engine apart. Since he is so interested in cars, we thought this would be great for him. It also comes with a car that you can take the tires on and off using the tools.

And he got a trampoline, "just like Kati Mac and Madi" his cousins.

And a firetruck.
