David Wilson Ace Fighter Pilot in Training
We took David to the Warriors & Warbirds Airshow at the Monroe Executive Airport Sunday. We had been hearing the planes flying overhead all day Saturday since the airport is only about 2 miles from our house. We all had a great time, especially David. He also (finally) added something to his Christmas list, an airplane. (All he has been asking for for months now is James - the train from Thomas & Friends.) There were a lot of very cool planes to look at. (I can't tell you any of their names, but Lanny probably can.)
David is not a fan of loud noises. (It took me forever to be able to vacuum with him in the house without him throwing a fit.) He spent most of the first part of the day with his fingers in his ears.

The airshow was really interesting with lots of different types of planes. Here are a few of the pictures we took.

Here's David posing wearing his bomber jacket in front of some planes. I had bought this 3 piece outfit for him last week because it was a good deal ($10.) When Lanny saw it he assumed I had gotten it specifically for the airshow. I hadn't even thought of that since it was a 4T and David is wearing 3T, but it fit and he looked so cool. It was actually kinda hot for him to wear the jacket all day, but worth carrying it around for these pictures.

Halloween Pictures
David was Lightning McQueen for Halloween (of course.) We took him to a Kidgits event at the mall in the morning and he refused to wear his costume so Lanny and I took turns carrying it around. The event was very crowded and in a small space. David did make a jack-o-lantern with Mr. Potato Head parts and win a free kids meal from Chick-Fil-A. We ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A and took David home for a nap.
At night we took him to the fire department for their Halloween event. David has been really into firetrucks lately. I thought they were going to have the firetrucks out for the kids to see, but they had actually moved the firetrucks out to the front of the building and set up tables inside for different businesses and political candidates to set pass out candy (and advertising.) David did a great job waiting in line and holding his basket up for people to put candy in it.
He was all decked out in McQueen paraphernalia (hat, shirt, costume, shoes, basket and I believe he even had on McQueen underwear.)
